KEOMALA EARNS BLACK BELT

| J.P. Keomala, son of Phoungeun and Houi Keomala of Mt. Pleasant, received his temporary black belt on April 28 from instructor Mr. Micheal McGuire of Mt. Pleasant. The students were tested by Grandmaster Woo Jin Jung in Cedar Rapids on April 23. Keomala had completed 300 regular Tae Kwon Do classes. He was tested on kicks, punches, combination kicking, 16 forms, 28 one-step sparring techniques free sparring, breaking techniques, Korean history and writing. Keomala is 10-years-old and a student at Harlan Elementary School in Mt. Pleasant.
